The Barnes and Noble Summer Reading Program

Trying to find a way to keep your kid’s mind sharp over the summer? Be sure to check out the Barnes and Noble Summer Reading Program (also called Imagination’s Destination) and encourage Summer Reading 2015. This program awards a free childrens book when kids read 8 books over their summer break.Be sure to also check out other great Barnes and Nobles freebies available in the Imagination Destination Kit. This includes a Teacher’s Guide, Student Activity Sheets, and a Summer Reading Journal printed in Spanish.

Children who wish to participate in the Barnes and Noble Summer Reading Program must enter the books they have read in a summer reading journal available for download here. Once they have 8 books entered fill out the child’s information including their name, school, and grade. The parent or guardian must sign the journal for the child to receive their free book.  The child will then get to choose one free book from a select list of childrens books. This list includes:

The Barnes and Noble Summer Reading Program is available only to children in grades 1 through 6, and the child’s summer reading list must be complete and submitted at a local Barnes and Noble location by September 7, 2015.
