Did you have a favorite teacher growing up? Someone that made it fun to learn each and every day, and made you love school? I know that I had several…so many in fact, that I wanted to become a teacher myself. When I went to college I found my calling – being an elementary school teacher. I even taught for a few years here and there, until I became a stay at home mom. So why, do you ask, am I asking you these questions?

Well, did you know that this week is “Teacher Appreciation Week”? And how wonderful that it falls on the same week as Mother’s Day! As a teacher myself, I know how much love and passion goes into each and every day – the time, effort, patience, hard work, and balance of your own family when working in a classroom. Your school may or may not celebrate teachers, and even if they don’t you should consider just a simple Thank You note (or maybe the prizes in the giveaway below) for all that they do!
