Founded in 2004 by Natasha Koudsi and Amy Bright, 2 chix™ maternity collection has grown from clever maternity tees, hoodies, and tanks to include a fun line of tees for dads, chicklet™, a new baby and toddler line, and a fashion line for trendy mamanistas.
As their own families began to grow, the mompreneurs were constantly reminded of the difficulty in finding comfortable, yet sexy, stylish maternity clothing. With their candid sentiments and clever graphics for what was originally a greeting card and invitation line, Natasha and Amy were encouraged by their pregnant friends to expand their card line to maternity apparel, finding the ideal formula for the perfect maternity tops.
Worn by A-list celebrity mommies Angelina Jolie, Brooke Shields, Selma Blair, Jennifer Garner and more, the 2 chix™ apparel line has become a passion, a novelty, and a necessity for these “2 chix.” They were recently voted the #1 maternity boutique on FOX LA’s hotlist!
Today, the dynamic duo not only have tons of business experience under their belts, but they have also become bonafide haute mama’s themselves. Natasha’s running her own personal ‘coup’ at home with three children, while Amy plays mama to two.
My Review
For this review, I was given my choice of any maternity top that I wanted…but since I am not currently expecting, they gave me a second option – which was to review one of their toddler/kid tees. I chose a top that truly showed my oldest daughter’s personality, which states “chick in charge”.
Made from 100% cotton, and in light yellow with kelly green velvety accents. Isn’t she cute (and in charge)? 😀
I absolutely love all of the clothing from 2chix, and would recommend them to any person (male or female) who may be expecting. They have several Laugh Out Loud t-shirts for the expecting daddy (see pic below), and fun shirts for mommy to be. As well as elegant dresses, sophisticated pants and skirts. Not to mention, the adorable onesies for baby too!
