Ok, so I admit that I was skeptical about the claims of the ToiletTree Fogless Shower Mirror when I decided to review it. We’ve all seen the likely thousands of mirrors on the market that claim they will not fog up in the shower. So, I decided to really put it to the test – which is not hard to do in my household, considering that there are 6 of us and only 1 shower. Yes, I’m serious…and yes, I know, it’s a nightmare! Can you say NON-STOP steam in the mornings and evenings ?
Here is what ToiletTree has to say about their Fogless Shower Mirror:
This patent pending mirror is guaranteed not to fog in the shower. Other fogless shower mirrors just don’t work. No more suction cups falling off the wall! Our removable, soft silicone adhesive secures the mirror to all shower surfaces and will not damage tiles or shower walls! The mirror conveniently detaches from the bracket so you can easily fill the reservoir before each use. An included self-stored squeegee removes any excess water from the front of your mirror. An adjustable frame makes the mirror accommodating for multiple users and angles. Dermatologists recommend performing daily skin care regimen in the shower as this promotes healthier looking skin. The combination of heat and moisture open the pores and creates n ideal environment for shaving, exfoliating, tweezing and cleaning.
Features include:
-Shatter proof high quality acrylic mirror adheres to virtually any wall surface with removable silicon adhesive.
-Easily adjustable bracket accommodates multiple users and angles.
-Built in shelf to store your razor, sponge or tweezers.
-Squeegee included to wipe away excess water drops.
-Designed not to rust, discolor or damage bathroom surfaces.
-Measures 6.5in x 8.5in x 1.5in and weighs less than 1 pound

And my verdict…after monthes of use in Grand Central Station of my home that others might call the bathroom? It really didn’t fog up. Honestly. Now – there is a reason for that. Anyone that paid attention in science class will agree. The mirror has a reservoir that you are to fill up with hot water before you get in the shower. Therefore, there is not much temperature difference, so no fog ! That part is pretty neat …but I also have to say that we’re always in a hurry and it became a pain to take the mirror down and fill it with water every time.
You also don’t escape the issue of soap scum. Our mirror is not “foggy”, but it’s not crystal clear after a couple monthes of use because of soap scum. Maybe that’s my fault ….if it were cleaned often, that might not be the case.
It is however a really neat shower mirror and has not once moved from the spot I installed it to – no falling down or coming “loose” like many other suction cup mirrors do. My 16 year old son likes that it has a shelf-like ledge for him to keep his shaving supplies on as well.
Overall, if you need a mirror in your shower, it’s a great choice. It has survived the busiest room in my house!
