About the Author
Scott Ginsberg is the only person who wears a nametag twenty-four seven. More importantly, he s the only person in the world who made a career out of wearing a nametag twenty-four-seven. As the author of thirteen books, a professional speaker, award-winning blogger and the producer of NametagTV.com, Scott’s publishing and consulting company specializes in approachability, identity and execution. He’s been featured on every major news network in the country including The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, NPR, MSNBC, FastCompany and, even wrote a quiz for COSMO Magazine. When he’s not traveling around the world giving speeches, Scott lives in St. Louis, Missouri, where he can usually be found hard at work in his living room and, yes still wearing a nametag.

Scott Ginsberg has been internationally recognized as “The World’s Expert On Nametags” and “The Authority on Approachability.” He’s frequently interviewed by various online, print, radio and TV media for his unique expertise.

He has been featured in hundreds of media outlets such as 20/20, CNN, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, The Associated Press, FastCompany, Cosmopolitan, The Washington Post, Paul Harvey, The CBS Early Show and Headline News. Here is a video of Scott Ginsberg, being interviewed on the show 20/20:

Mr. Ginsberg wears many hats…he is an entrepreneur. He transformed wearing a nametag into a six figure enterprise. His publishing/consulting company, HELLO, my name is Scott! offers an array of products and services. And, he was voted as St. Louis’s “Young Entrepreneur of the Year,” in 2008 by The St. Louis Small Business Monthly!

Scott is the author of thirteen books including HELLO, my name is Scott, The Power of Approachability, How to be That Guy and Make a Name for Yourself. In 2008, Scott launched his Online Training Network, NametagTV.com. This interactive learning community teaches approachability through video modules, message boards and other tools. Stick yourself out there!

He is a speaker, giving presentations, breakout sessions, keynote speeches and seminars to tens of thousands of people each year. He’s shared the stage with bestselling authors/speakers like Jeffrey Gitomer, Jim Collins and Fred Reichheld. He works with diverse clientele, including the following companies: STAPLES, VERIZON Wireless, Boeing, Prudential Financial, UniGroup, Coldwell Banker, Gundaker Realty, Leo Burnett, Manpower and Hyatt Regency.

He is the NAMETAG Guy. Scott is the only person in the world who wears a nametag 24-7 to make people friendlier. (In case you’re wondering, he has a nametag tattooed on his chest for certain occasions.) While transforming his simple idea into a business, his adventures have earned him recognition as “The World’s Foremost Expert on Nametags” and secured a spot in Ripley’s Believe it Or Not!

My Thoughts
I was very impressed with this book, written by Scott Ginsberg. To be honest, this is the first book I have ever read by this author, and the first time I have even heard of Scott Ginsberg. But as I mentioned above, he is a pretty famous person!

In “The Nametag Principle” you are given a daily pep talk for yourself, your business and your sense of humanity. Mr. Ginsberg does a wonderful job of encouraging others to know who you (or your business) really are. He “captures over an entire decades worth of rock candy solid, hard earned lessons learned on how to attract people and get more opportunities in your life.” (esbjournal.com) Each page is designed to put your actions in life, to make you become more engaging, more joinable, more human and more approachable.

I would highly recommend this book to any young adult, ages high school and up. It will motivate you to become a better person, a better business man or woman, and will make you enjoy life a little more.
