My Thoughts
I was very impressed with all the products that were sent to my family to use for this product review. The “fresh mint” whitening toothpaste, was probably the best tasting in my opinion. With the “green tea” coming in second, and the “strawberry cream” kids toothpaste in third. Both my girls love the cute little monkey on the box/tube! 😀
The mouthwash was definitely not my favorite taste in the world, but I have never found a mouthwash that I love. All of the adult products left my mouth feeling clean, refreshed and gave me great smelling breath. I loved knowing that each of these products were cruelty free and vegan, as all products should rightfully be! Even the packaging itself is all “earth friendly”!
These products were definitely eye-openers for me!! I had no idea that fluoride (when used in excess) has been linked to a number of health problems, including dental fluorosis, thyroid problems, osteoporosis, cancer and more. Considered to be one of the top 10 common household toxins, fluoride, which is found in tap water, and OTC toothpaste is a very scary thing.
I would highly recommend everyone to do a little research on the fluoride that enters your home, whether that be through your water, or the toothpaste that your family uses daily. This is something that is incredibly important, and worth your time looking into. FDA’s warnings on toothpaste read: “Keep out of the reach of children less than 6 years of age. In case of accidental ingestion, seek professional assistance or contact poison control center immediately.”
I would also highly recommend the use of Dr. Sharp’s products for every member of your family. As with every high quality product, you do need to know that these products cost a little more than the average product. The family package set that I reviewed costs $53 (that’s about $13.50 for each product).
