Potty training is hard enough trying to get your child interested, let alone the mess that comes with using a potty chair. Thank goodness for the Pourty, a potty chair that is easier for your child to use, and easier for you to empty and clean!

About Pourty {The Potty that Pours}
The Pourty is an innovative new potty that is easier to empty and clean than a standard potty. When you empty a standard potty (chair), you have to empty its contents over the area on which the child sits and the pee always dribbles down the outside of the potty. The Pourty’s unique patent pending pouring duct and anti-drip lip allows you to empty the contents out of the back of the Pourty away from where the child sits or touches with no mess or dribbles.

Features of the Pourty include:

• A handle at the front making it easy to pick up your child’s potty and pour the contents out of the back away from where the child sits or touches. The lip at the top of the duct is designed so that there should be no dribbles down the outside of the Pourty. To clean, you can simply refill the Pourty with water and wash it out. 
• A large and wide seating area (ergonomically designed) which is comfortable to sit on for boys and girls. With some potties the narrow seating area can be uncomfortable and leave a red ring around your child’s bottom when they stand up. The two sides of the back rest of the Pourty potty offer ample support to your child if they do lean back and are shaped for maximum comfort.
• A high splash guard (which is much higher than most potties) to help prevent any unwanted spillage, especially when boys are using the potty.
• Made out of a sturdier plastic than most normal potties. This helps give the child confidence when sitting on the potty (for extra stability) and also means that there is less risk that the potty will stick to their bottom when they stand up (which can have unfortunate and messy consequences). This also makes the potty more stable and harder for your child to knock over.

My Thoughts
As a parent, I love finding products that are made by parents themselves; and ones that make my family’s lives easier. The Pourty is such a fun and innovative product that provides the convenience of a basic potty, is as easy to empty as a two piece potty and its unique one piece design makes it more hygienic and easier to clean.

I can understand why children would love it, for its comfortable wide seating area, as well as its fun design. The potty seat sits low enough to the floor that it is perfect for our youngest daughter (who is 18 months) to start potty training with. I do have to mention though, that I am not sure how comfortable it would be for a child who is really tall, since they do have to sit pretty low to the ground. This is definitely not a product that you would want to use for a long period of time; in fact, Pourty recommends that you have a potty seat for the actual toilet as well, to get your child used to using the regular toilet.

The Pourty is very easy to empty, that even (an older) child could do it. And cleaning is done in a breeze! I also love that it is not heavy, which means it will be perfect to take on the road, or to grandmas house.

I would highly recommend this product to any parent or caregiver who has children that are in the process of potty training.
