They say the only constant in our world is change…I don’t like change when there is no obvious need for it, but I’m learning when it comes to technology and the internet, I had better learn to go with the flow. And so, here we are, making an unwanted adjustment to the new Facebook Timeline for Pages.
Yes, I know…you don’t like it. Neither do I. ALL Facebook pages will automatically be converted to the new Timeline format on March 30th. That’s why we went ahead and took the plunge now, so we could learn to navigate things before it was the only option!
Over the last 48 hours since I made our switch to Timeline, I have noticed some features that I actually like (such as the ability for all of our readers and fans to email us directly from the facebook page), the option to “highlight” and “pin” specific posts to make sure you see them easily (like the “of the moment” deals and other frugal fabulous finds that you wouldn’t want to miss). There are some features I don’t like – namely, the inability to set our page to the most recent posts so that they are all in order. I have figured out a few tricks though and I hope that they will be helpful to you.
We love interacting with all of you on Facebook and don’t want to lose that, so we’re here to help if you have any questions about the Facebook changes and the new Timeline format.
I’m sure we will update this post later, as we get used to the new Timeline, but I wanted to share some quick tips to help ensure that you don’t miss our posts!
How to KEEP TRACK OF POSTS in TIMELINE
#1. First, ALWAYS make sure your page view is set to “POSTS BY PAGE” instead of “Highlights”. This will ensure that you are seeing posts in order and especially – the most recent posts instead of the new default which is a random collection of posts from other fans and posts from the past year.

#2. We post 25+ deals a day EASILY, and even after your click on POSTS BY PAGE, you will still need to scroll down and click on SEE MORE RECENT STORIES. This is after the first batch of posts. You may also need to click on this more than once to see ALL the posts for the day!

How to KEEP US IN YOUR NEWS FEED!
With all the changes to Facebook recently things are coming and going like crazy in everybody’s news feed. The fact is that Facebook will be changing everyone and everything over to timeline so we’re all going to have to get used to it (even if we’re not crazy about it). Below are the steps to make sure you don’t miss the next “of the moment” deal, freebie, or coupon!
HOW TO NEVER MISS A POST AGAIN:
The best way to ensure you never miss another post is by signing up to have our daily list of Frugal Fabulous Finds sent to you in e-mail. This is one email per day with the list of all that we’ve posted that day. Make sure you activate your Free subscription via email after signup to start receiving your daily list.

There are many other ways to keep track of our posts and keep in touch with us. (Although Facebook does keep you in touch with the most recent deals!).
We love interacting with you and don’t want the new Facebook changes to alter that in any way! We’re here to help, so if you have any questions on the new facebook changes, let us know!
Thanks so much to our friends at DebtFreeSpending for help analyzing the new Facebook Timeline and compiling these tips!
