It is possible to create low-cost centerpieces that still look very attractive, expensive even.
Below you’ll find our list for 5 cheap centerpieces that actually look quite rich.
1. Paper Flower Centerpieces: I know, at first though, the idea of paper flower centerpieces must sound quite odd and frugal to the extreme. It’s fine for something to be cheap as long as it doesn’t look it. Don’t worry. Quality, paper flowers will look very elegant when done correctly. You can create die cut flowers from paper for a wonderful, crafty effect. You can purchase the pattern and assemble the flowers themselves or purchase them already assembled.
2. Use The Wedding Favors as Centerpieces: Beautifully arranged wedding favors can do double duty as centerpieces. Adding a few candles with the favors is an easy way for the happy couple to decorate their tables and show their appreciation to their guests for coming at the same time. No additional expense required.
3. Plants: Orchids are quite beautiful and the plants make for great centerpieces. Aside from looking great, they are also inexpensive. It is possible to purchase a very lovely looking orchid plant for less than $10. Another beautiful and very inexpensive idea is using tree branches. You can spray paint them or use them natural. Hang votive candles, miniature wedding bells or just about anything you can image for a unique centerpiece on a budget.
4. Pillar Candles: Pillar candles in different sizes, grouped in the center of the table, tied together with ribbon, work great as centerpieces. They look good and are a perfect option for those on a budget. Candles area a great budget friendly source for wedding centerpieces and decor starting with wedding showers to the main event and on to the reception. They can be purchased for very little money and are available in a variety of colors, sizes and scents. Check your local craft stores, and online auctions.
**It’s a good idea to determine the burn time of whatever candles a person decides to purchase, to avoid the candles melting during the reception. Consider adding greenery or pinecones to give the centerpieces an even richer, fuller look.
5. Use Food: This is becoming more popular and when done correctly, makes for an elegant centerpiece. Create a cluster of fruits and/or vegetables and use as centerpieces. Apples, pineapples, star fruit, lemons and pears, make terrific looking centerpieces. Food centerpieces are much cheaper than floral arrangements.
Using your imagination and thinking outside the box are great ways to come up with centerpieces that are not only inexpensive but quite attractive.
Remember, it’s okay for things to BE cheap just as long as they don’t LOOK cheap.
