One of the new trends in wellness and nutritional health is drinking tea. Dr. Oz recommends green tea as a start for a 28 day health regime in an article running in O Magazine this month and talks about Teas To Fight Disease on his show.
Green tea is a GREAT DETOXER primarily due to the Catechins found in green tea.
Health benefits found related to tea in a nutshell:
- Catechins are beneficial in neutralizing free radicals, which are known to cause a variety of diseases as well as aging and wrinkles. Free radicals increase by overexposure to ultraviolet rays, aging, smoking and heavy drinking. Green tea helps neturalize the “activated oxygen” and remove the damaging free radicals.

My Thoughts
I absolutely love that this company goes above and beyond promoting all the health benefits of tea. Many people believe that tea is not healthy for you – when in fact it has SO many great things it does for your well being.
The green tea canister that I was sent for this review is definitely a product that would be perfect for tea lovers of all kinds. Using a teapot (or in my case, a sauce pan), I boiled water and “steeped” for 2-3 minutes. Then through a strainer, I used 2 teaspoons of tea leaves per 6 oz of water, and voila! the perfect tea. It was warm, soothing and just what I needed after a long stressful day of stay at home mommy-hood.
I would highly recommend the use of any of ITO EN’s products. They are top quality, taste incredible and worth every penny spent.
