Earth Day 2014 is tomorrow, and there are so many freebies available to you this year! This year marks the 44th anniversary for Earth Day. The holiday is celebrated worldwide. People come together and demonstrate support for environmental protection. Many businesses, restaurants and brands celebrate the day in a variety of ways to show their customers and fans dedication to the environment.
Since there are so many freebies and ways to save on Earth Day this year, I put together this list so you can score a few freebies in honor of Earth Day 2014. Some deals are tomorrow, Earth Day. Others take place later in the week.
- Wegman’s: Are you a Wegmans shopper? Celebrate Earth Day April 26th with Wegmans! This Saturday, if you shop the store between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., you will receive a coupon for a FREE Wegmans reusable bag when you “trade in” your plastic shopping bags. Make sure your plastic shopping bags are clean beforehand.
- Jo-Ann Fabrics: FREE reusable shopping bag from Jo-Ann Fabric on Earth Day! Jo Ann Fabric is offering the first 50 customers a free, reusable shopping tote on Earth Day, April 22nd. Make sure to find out when your local store opens so you can be one of the first 50 shoppers.
- Starbucks: Bring a reusable coffee mug into any Starbucks location and get a 10-cent discount on your cup of coffee.
- Caribou Coffee: This month, if you purchase the Earth Month Tumbler you will get unlimited coffee refills at Caribou Coffee locations.
- H-E-B Free Tote Bag: Bring in 5 plastic grocery bags on from 3 to 7 p.m., April 22nd and you’ll get a free H-E-B reusable bag
- National Parks Service: Through April 27th, head out to America’s national parks to celebrate National Parks Week and Earth Day; millions of stars will light up the dark night sky, deer and antelope (and a few other critters!) will frolic on the wide open range, and an unbelievably rich history is present.
- April 26th is National Junior Ranger Day. The parks invite young visitors to “explore, learn, protect” and be sworn in as junior rangers. April 22nd is Earth Day, so if you want to roll up your sleeves and pitch in with a project, look for a park where you can help out.
