WEBSITE REVIEW+GIVEAWAY: SHTF GARDEN MEMBERSHIP

Are you a gardener or maybe you would like to be? A self-sufficient garden is an inflation-proof way to keep yourself well fed no matter the economy. If you’re someone that wants to know how to feed your family when the food storage runs out and the grocery shelves are empty, then this is the site for you!

In the public area of SHTFGarden.com, you’ll find useful information and sneak peaks into what members get to see every day. Every 2 weeks, a new informative booklet on a specific SHTF gardening subject is published in the Member’s Area exclusively for our members. Those booklets contain valuable information for gardening when there is no garden store or big box outlet to get seeds, soil, fertilizers, etc.

SHTF Garden has information for the least to the most informed gardeners out there. ” We don’t talk politics, we don’t bother with currency exchanges and economics. We just talk about all things food for now and after the manure has flown.”

For the survivalist, the prepper, or the gardener looking to grow without spending money on “extras,” SHTF Garden is where it’s at.

This is what the author had to say:
“This website is basically the home of a book in the making, which will be titled The SHTF Garden.  Having written several books before on various subjects, I can tell you this from experience: writing a book takes an inordinate amount of time and often has little financial payoff for the author.  When your time is limited and your daily work already involves writing.. well, that side project often becomes a back burner project instead.

Unless you really believe in it, then you either forge ahead or your come up with creative ways to overcome these obstacles.  SHTFGarden.com is my way of creatively overcoming the obstacle of having shaky financial incentives (not to mention the need to make a daily income) when writing this book.  I have thought about and worked on the idea of The SHTF Garden for quite a while, but up to now, had done nothing more than outline it and collect a lot of research.  Now I’m ready to start seriously writing it.”

That’s where you come in. You can either wait a couple of years and buy a $50 book that is a couple of hundred pages long, but covers everything there is to know about gardening when the brown has fallen into the air mover or you can buy it now, on installments, and get it as its written.  In fact, if you sit down and work it out, you’ll pay a lot less than that $50 – maybe half that.  The author plans to have this book done in a year or less if SHTFGarden.com as a concept works out.

So if you’re willing to journey with the author on this and prove that a new paradigm of publishing, thanks to the Internet, can replace the old system that seldom rewards authors with anything but non-financial satisfaction at finishing a book, then join SHTF Garden and come with me on a journey of discovery. Read the introduction to the book by clicking here.

Membership Options:
Paid memberships are billed monthly and come in two types: Standard and Founders.

Those who’ve signed up in the first three months of our operations are called Founders and receive a special discounted rate and some special treatment thanks to their having faith in me right from the get-go.  Those who sign up later on, when the book is more complete, will pay a higher monthly subscription rate, tiered according to when they sign up.  In this way, Founders get a lower rate because they’ll be paying for a longer period of time (in the end, Founders will pay less overall) and those who come in later, when most of the book is already available for download, will not get a better deal just because they signed up later.

Later members are called Standard Members and, like Founders, have access to all of the information and resources in our Members Area.  Because the site updates regularly, this means a continual flow of great gardening information for our members.  Of course, paying members can cancel their subscription at any time through the membership section.  Most membership cancellations result in the member being downgraded to a Free membership.

Free Members can sign upat any time without cost and have access to a few things that the browsing public doesn’t.  This includes some special reports, occasional special offers on single-item purchases from the SHTF Garden Store, etc.

If you want more background on how SHTF Garden started and the premise behind its setup and how it works, read this post.

Who’s behind SHTF Garden?
SHTFGarden.com is owned and operated by Aaron Turpen, a writer, prepper, and natural health nut who lives in Wyoming, USA.  Aaron is known for his writing as MasterPrepper at Truth2America.com and HealthFreedomNetwork.com, and for being the editor of the Health Freedom Network Newsletter.  He has also been seen on NaturalNews.com, GreenBigTruck.com, and has been published in a variety of places both online and in print.

Aaron has penned several ebooks on prepping and health, including the recent publication of Survival of the Smartest: the First 72 Hours (a book I reviewed here) and the upcoming Holistic Health 101: A Beginner’s Guide to Overall Health and Wellness and the newly edited and expanded To the Last Drop: 10 Ways to Miser Fuel Savings Out of Your Car.

From childhood, Aaron learned to plant, garden, harvest, can / bottle, dehydrate, and otherwise grow and store vegetables and fruits.  He also learned to care for cows, chickens, pigs, and a variety of other livestock.

Today, Aaron still enjoys many of these activities and has expanded his understanding of many of them through research and trail-and-error.  SHTF Garden is a way to share his knowledge with those who want to know the best way to feed themselves in both good times and bad.

My Thoughts
I love the idea of starting my own garden someday…maybe I can learn some tips from all you amazing fans who already have green thumbs. I am lucky to get my weeds pulled out front, and maybe a few flowers planted here and there. Funny story – I just planted these really pretty gerber daisy’s and within a few days they were eaten by our neighborhood rabbit. 🙁

I would recommend joining this website if you are a gardener in the making, or even an expert gardener. Aaron Turpen gives great tips, files and how-to’s all about gardening. You will learn the basics, tools you will need, seeds and everything you would need to know when it comes to gardening.
