Autumn is almost here which means it is time to pull out those delicious fall recipes that we all love. Today, we have a super easy recipe for Spiced Pumpkin Bars. This recipe is SO unbelievably delicious! It is full of rich, yummy flavor. You can even tailor it slightly by making your own frosting out of cream cheese (or using another complimentary frosting). Give it a try!
Spiced Pumpkin Bars Ingredients:
- a 17.5 ounce sugar cookie mix of your choice
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon of ground cloves
- 1 cup of 100% pumpkin puree
- 4 tablespoons of softened butter
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup of chocolate chips
Spiced Pumpkin Bars Directions:
Begin by greasing a 9″ x 13″ and preheating your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. In a bowl, mix together your sugar cookie mix, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ground cloves. Next, add in the pumpkin puree, softened butter, and vanilla extract until everything is thoroughly combined together. After that, mix in the chocolate chips. Pour the pumpkin batter into your pan and spread it out into one thin, even layer. Bake the pumpkin bars for approximately 15 minutes. Serve them warm or enjoy them cooled slightly! If you want to make these bars extra delicious, cover them (once they have cooled) with your favorite cream cheese frosting recipe or another complimentary frosting flavor.
