As we rapidly approach 20,000 Fans on our Facebook page, It’s caused me to think back to our very humble beginnings. I started this blog on a whim, very late on New Years Day of 2010. It was a random thought that I had during a very stressful time of my life. I needed an outlet and although I have a background in building websites and design, I knew nothing about blogging nor had I ever so much at glanced at a “Couponing” or “Frugal” Blog. I didn’t have the slightest clue of the huge community of bloggers and frugal related resources out here in cyberspace.

I only knew 2 things for sure.

#1 – I needed something that was my own – my time spot to do something completely unrelated to my alter personalities of mom, wife, cook, chaffeur, maid and as I always say, CEO of our home .

#2 – My friends and family were constantly amazed at the ways I found to save money, decorate on a dime, etc.

Being the avid yard saler, flea market goer and yes – even sometimes the patrol on trash day , side of the road trash to treasure finder, I would always come home and announce my Frugal Fabulous Finds that day….hence, the name for the blog was a given.

Writing has been an outlet for me since my teenage years of journals & poetry…so blogging was a given.

In less than 2 years, my outlet has grown into so much more and I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of our fans, friends and supporters-especially those of you that were quick to “like” my new facebook page and blog just to help me get it going…you know who you are!

Without you all, yes-I’d still have the outlet of writing-but it’s your comments, questions and posts that make me smile everyday and let me know that the joy I have of sharing my passion for savings with you is greatly appreciated. That is irreplacable and I TRULY THANK YOU ALL !
