Willie Jolley, the man dubbed “America’s Comeback King” by Success Magazine, says a recession creates new and better financial opportunities… if you know how to make them happen.
In his new book, Turn Setbacks Into Greenbacks, Jolley lays out the seven secrets for going up in down times. His secrets are more than just theories: He’s one of the people credited with saving the Ford Motor Company from financial devastation (back in 2006), helping it avoid bankruptcy and the need to take a federal bailout. Now it’s posting billion-dollar quarterly earnings.
He’s now on a national tour sponsored by E*Trade, offering this same great advice to the millions of Americans trying to stage their own financial comebacks.
A few steps from Jolley on how to start the process of going up in down times:
- Stop commiserating! People who sit around and commiserate are the people who would rather complain about problems than do anything to fix them.
- Don’t let your pride poison your prosperity. Stop trying to put up a facade of success and get real. Any work that is moral and legal is honorable.
- Stop waiting for your ship to come in. Financial success is a choice that you must make happen, not a chance that you sit and wait for.
- Don’t just look for a job; make a job! Financial success is linked to thought, so get creative. What need do people have that you can fill? How can you use your expertise and get paid for it?
- Stretch your financial goals this year way beyond what you think you are capable of earning. This puts you in the right frame of mind to make more money.
Jolley knows firsthand what it’s like to comeback from financial difficulties. In 1991, he had only $200 in the bank while trying to support his family and launch his business. Today he’s financially sound; the host of one of the most popular Sirius XM talk shows, The Willie Jolley Wealthy Ways Radio Show; CEO of Willie Jolley Worldwide; a best-selling author and international speaker/consultant.
Jolley says recession and depressions ALWAYS lead to progressions. Don’t just go through tough times. Grow through them.
My Thoughts
Its one thing to read a book about how to make money, and another to learn how to pick yourself up so that you make that money over time. I am a true believer that there are no “over night” money making tools – but there are ways that you can encourage yourself, no matter where you are in life to get to where you need to be.
This book written by Willie Jolley is incredibly inspirational and makes you step back and look at your goals in life. Where do you want to be? How are you going to get there? How can you take your “setbacks” and turn them into “greenbacks”? Every page encourages you to find the answer to what you have been looking for…or at least motivates you to do so.
I would highly recommend this book for anyone who is looking for a job, or looking for a way to not only survive – but to thrive in today’s society.
