Ingredients for the chicken:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts- 1/2 cup hot sauce
- 1/2 cup of ranch dressing
- 1/4 cup of butter
- 3 tablespoons of ketchup
- a package of hamburger buns (whatever kind you like)
Ingredients for apple blue cheese slaw:
- 1 apple chopped into small pieces
- 1 cup of shredded cabbage
- 2 slices of celery, sliced
- 1.5 ounces of your favorite blue cheese
- 1/4 cup of chopped fresh flat leaf parsley
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 shallot
- 1 1/2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
- a dash of salt
- a dash of pepper
Buffalo Chicken Sandwich Instructions:
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Combine your butter, ketchup, and hot sauce together in a bowl. Put 1/4 cup of the mixture aside for later. Add your chicken to the mixture, toss it, and marinate for at least 20 minutes in your refrigerator. After your chicken has finished marinating, you can throw away the mixture it was marinating in. Put your chicken on the grill and cover it. It should cook for approximately 5 to 8 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of the breasts. You can also lightly toast the hamburger buns for approximately 2 minutes. When the buns are finished toasting, you can spread the ranch dressing on them. When the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit, you can remove the chicken from the grill and place it on the buns. To make the apple blue-cheese slaw, combine all the ingredients in a bowl. Once you have prepared the apple blue-cheese slaw, you can place some on top of the chicken. Take the 1/4 cup of hot sauce mixture you reserved and drizzle it between the buns.
