Cooking on a Budget: Scrumptious Cadbury Cream Easter Brownies

Easter is just around the corner, so today we are bringing you a SCRUMPTIOUS and festive recipe. If you love Cadbury Cream Eggs, you will LOVE this treat.  It is a simple to make yet delicious to devour Easter dessert that everyone in your family will enjoy.

Cadbury Cream Easter Brownies Ingredients:

1 box of dark chocolate brownie mix (you will also need the  ingredients listed on your brownie mix box)
1/2 cup of corn syrup
1/4 cup of butter that has softened
3 cups of powdered sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
yellow food coloring
1 container of your favorite creamy chocolate frosting

Cadbury Cream Easter Brownies Directions:

Begin by preparing and baking the brownies according to the directions on the box. Allow the brownies to cool down before you proceed to the next step. While the brownies are cooling down, use a mixer to blend the softened butter, corn syrup, and vanilla extract. Once these ingredients have been mixed together, gradually add in the powered sugar just until it has been incorporated. Divide up the butter mixture and place half of it in another bowl. Add a few drops of yellow food coloring to one bowl and gently stir in the color. Take the yellow butter mixture and gently spread it out over the cooled brownies. Once you have spread out the mixture, place the brownies in the refrigerator for approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Then, remove the brownies from the refrigerator and spread out a layer of the white butter mixture over the yellow. Place the brownies back in the refrigerator for another 15 to 20 minutes. Then, take the lid off the frosting and microwave it for around 25 to 30 seconds. If you are not comfortable microwaving the frosting directly in the container, your can scoop it into a bowl and microwave it. Once it has warmed up and become somewhat liquefied, pour it over the brownies. Spread it out and then place it in the refrigerator or freezer for a few minutes until it sets up. Then, dig in and enjoy!!
