I absolutely love Reward Programs, especially ones that you can share with your friends! So when the owner of Cashonista contacted me about trying out her new Facebook application, I was more than thrilled.
What is Cashonista?
Cashonista is a Facebook application that enables users to make social recommendations about great deals to their friends.
Cashonista aggregates deals on one side, and presents them to its users. The users (that would be you, once you sign up) know their friends the best and so they are incented to recommend the deals that fit their friends interest and needs.
How does it work?
- You recommend the right deal to the right friend.
- Earn points for every friend that joins and even more points when they purchase a deal you recommended!
- Earn badges, starting with the Beginner badge and eventually graduate to the Guru badge. Prove how thoughtful your recommendations are!
- At the end of each month if you earn over 20,000 points you can redeem those points for cash! (1000 points = $1)
How do I get started?
CLICK HERE to Sign Up! Browse through the most popular deals, and send your friends recommendations you know they will thank you for! And if you find a really great deal, you can also post it to your wall.
There are 2 ways to recommend deals:
- Send a personal recommendation to a friend.
- Share the deal on your wall. For every friend who will buy the deal through your wall post, you will get points!
Please note: You can earn double points if you first buy the deal and than recommend it.
For every deal you recommend, even if your friend doesn’t purchase what you suggest, you will get 100 Bonus Points for introducing them to the app.
So, as you can see…there are many ways to earn points! In fact, when you sign up, you will automatically receive 5,000 points, which is equivalent to $5!
I just love how user-friendly the App is, and there is no pressure whatsoever for you or your friends to buy a deal. But if you see one, I would highly recommend purchasing it! At the end of each month, the best recommenders can choose to redeem their points for cash. At the 1st and 15th of each month if your balance is at or above 20,000 points you can redeem your points for money that you will receive via Paypal. Very cool!
