Earth Day is this Monday, April 22nd ~ a day that we should unite globally to preserve and protect our beautiful world that we live in. So, of course, we’re compiling what I know will be a huge list of Earth Day Freebies for 2013, just as it is every year!
In years past, we’ve seen everything from FREE food at restaurants to FREE trees, retail freebies and everything in between.

Restaurant Freebies
- Caribou Coffee ~ Get a FREE coffee when you bring in a reusable mug or tumbler on April 22nd, 2013. And I love this…for every NEW like they get on Facebook, Caribou Coffee’s sponsors will plant a fruit tree in Central or South America.

- Jo-Ann Fabrics ~ During the Simple Sunday event on Sunday, April 21st, customers can create Ball Jar Herb Planters to celebrate Earth Day – a great project for crafters of all ages and skill levels. The Free event will last as long as supplies do, or until 3 p.m. And on Monday, the first 50 customers in the store on 4-2-2013 will receive a FREE tote bag.
- Kiehl’s ~ All free-standing Kiehl’s stores offer a “Recycle and Be Rewarded!” program, through which customers may return their empty Kiehl’s bottles, tubes and jars for recycling and be rewarded with free stuff. Every time you return something to be recycled, you get a stamp on your “Recycle and Be Rewarded!” card. Return three items, and you’ll get a FREE tube of lip balm. Return five items, and you can choose something from the Official Kiehl’s Travel Collection for FREE. Once you receive your 10th stamp for 10 items returned for recycling, you can choose any single product with a value of $25 or less, excluding Flagship Exclusive Items or charitable products. Keep in mind that this is a program that occurs not only on Earth Day but all year long!

- Lowe’s ~ Get a packet of FREE tomato seeds at a participating store near you. In years past, they used to give away FREE trees. Be sure to call your local store to see if they are apart of this promo.

- Michael’s Arts & Crafts ~ Celebrate Earth Day on Saturday, April 20th, 2013 by learning how you can turn your old T-shirts into trendy and fashionable accessories. This crafting class is FREE and runs from 1 – 3 pm.
- National Parks ~ Get FREE Admission to ALL parks (nearly 400 to choose from) during the week of April 22nd – 26th.

- Target ~ Get a FREE reusable bag on Sunday, April 21st with some bags containing coupon books that offer over $40 in savings. - Wegmans ~ Wegmans supermarkets are holding an Earth Day celebration on Saturday, April 20, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. In addition to free samples of Wegmans Brand Organic products throughout the store, you’ll also receive more than $10 in free coupons (while supplies last). Plus, the first 300 customers through the door in each Wegmans location who brings in a clean, empty plastic bag for recycling gets a coupon for a free reusable bag from Wegmans.
- Whole Foods Market ~ Get to Whole Foods Market this weekend (4/20-4/22) in some means of alternative transportation (a.k.a. no cars) and you’ll get a free gift when you check in at the customer service desk while supplies last. Offer may vary by location.
