Are you a fan of Family Dollar stores? Well, if you are you will be happy to know that they are on track to add hundreds of new grocery items to the stores’ offerings.
Coupon in the News says, “Family Dollar announced this month that it’s adding more than 400 new food items in all 8,000+ of its stores. At the same time, it’s lowering prices on 1,000 items throughout the store, including on ‘brands like Kraft, Hellman’s, Ragu and others,’ a company statement read.”
This means markdowns for customers along with adding some great new groceries, at a great price!
Shopping for a full dinner and ingredients at Family Dollar wasn’t entirely possible before the expansion but now to launch this expanded grocery selection Family Dollar has launched a “Recipe Challenge.”
The “More for Less: Recipe Challenge” can be entered by sharing your favorite blogger’s recipe from the Family Dollar site. The winning blogger will have a chance to meet celebrity Chef Pat Neely!
Chef Pat Neely is known for his career as a Memphis, Tenn. chef, author and TV personality on Down Home with the Neelys on the Foot Network. He and wife Gina own Neely’s Bar-B-Que in Memphis.
Recipes submitted by bloggers include Hamburger Casserole, Spaghetti Carbonara, Shrimp and Clam Alfredo, and several others. All recipes were created with ingredients all purchased at Family Dollar! I was most amazed by the Swiss Roll Cookies and Cream Cake! Some of the Family Dollar shoppers and bloggers really show their creativity with these recipes.
This weekend you can save big at Family Dollar stores with some great deals and coupons, too. Like $1 children’s drinks including Yoohoo, Kool-Aid Bursts and Hawaiian Punch. There are also deals on candy and snacks this week; like three for $4 Pringles, Wheat Thins for $2.50 and Jif Whips for$3.35!
