
Last weekend for 4th of July, our family went on our first family vacation to Colorado…my blog post is still in progress, so I thought I would share this quick pic with all of you 🙂 I hope you all had an amazing Independence Day weekend.
There are several free kids activities this weekend:
- Lowe’s Build & Grow Clinic: on Saturday (7/9), from 10 – 11 am, visit Lowe’s to build a free Tow Truck. The workshops are geared for children from about 1st-5th grade, and parents need to remain with their child. The first 50 kids to sign up get a kit, work apron, and safety goggles for free. You should register for the workshop to ensure you will receive a kit.
- Lakeshore Learning Store: on Saturday (7/9), from 11 am – 3 pm, visit Lakeshore Learning Center to create a free Mosaic Mirror.
- AC Moore: visit Saturday (7/9) between 1 and 3 pm for a Free Make & Take – Duck Tape Wands. Then, visit Wednesday (7/13) between 3 pm and 5 pm to create Orb Factory Sticky Mosaics Pictures.
- Archiver’s: visit Archiver’s on Friday or Saturday nights from 5-11 pm for six undisturbed hours of scrapbooking and socializing. Just pay a $5 reservation fee to save your spot. Then when you arrive, you’ll receive a $5 merchandise voucher to use that night. Plus, visit (7/7-7/12) for an Ink Blending Weekend, where you can learn how to add soft color using Tim Holtz ink applicator tool, foam pads and distress ink.
- Toys R Us: visit on Saturday (7/9) between 2 and 4 pm for a Transformers Mission where you can try out new toys based on the new Transformers movie. Event intended for children, ages 3-up. Parental supervision required at all times. All giveaways and event materials available while supplies last and distributed to participating children only. Limit one per child. Quantities limited; no rain checks.
- Disney Store: visit the Disney Store on Saturday (7/9) for Winnie the Pooh Storytime. Session 1 at 10:30 am, Session 2 at noon and Session 3 at 1:30 pm. No lineups prior to 30 minutes before the event start, and space is limited to store capacity.
- Babies R Us: visit Babies R Us on Saturday (7/9) between 12 pm and 3 pm for Ready… Set… Baby! Learn about the things you’ll want to have for every Mom-to-be’s Baby Registry. Also you’ll get tips and ideas for planning a baby shower. Enjoy some coupon savings and more! So if your an expectant Mom bring your family and friends, learn some valuable information and have fun.
- Bass Pro: visit Bass Pro on Saturday (6/4- 7/10) for Family Summer Camp 2011. Enjoy FREE crafts on Saturdays and Sundays between 2 pm and 5 pm. This Saturday, you can create Stamping Fun-Animal Tracks. Other activities include: workshops and activities on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 pm.
- Target: Check for FREE museum events in a city near you
- Walmart: there are several in-store events this weekend. Check your local store for hours and participation
