There are some amazing incentives including FREE books, prizes and more! Find a program or two that works for your family and make the most of these amazing educational freebies!

There are a LOT of great programs that your children can take advantage of to earn FREE books, prizes, and cash!

  • Barnes & Noble Imagination Destination – This summer reading program through Barnes & Noble gives your child the ability to earn a FREE book after reading 8 books and keeping track of them in a reading log.
  • Book Adventure – Sylvan offers this FREE reading incentive program. Basically your child reads books and then takes a simple comprehension quiz
    to make sure they understood what they read.  The quiz is usually about 10 questions long.  They earn points based on how much they remember from reading the book.There are hundreds of books to choose from in all reading levels.  These are common books that can be found at your local library.  Once they have earned enough points they can trade them in for some really neat prizes!
  • Chuck E. Cheese – Earn 10 FREE tokens every time your child reads for 2 weeks in a row.  Just fill out the form and bring it in to claim your free tokens. This offer is good through December 31st, 2012.
  • Half Price Books – They are offering kids ages 14 and under a chance to earn a $5 Gift Card for reading just 15 minutes each day for a month throughout the summer!
  • Junie B Jones Reading Club – Sign up and get a FREE starter Kit that includes a copy of Junie B Jones and the Stupid Smelly Bus, Activity sheets and a membership ID card while supplies last.
  • Local Public Library – Don’t forget to check out your local libraries to find out which programs they’ll be offering this summer.  My girls and I have participated in several summer reading programs over the past four years through the library and it always includes FREE books & prizes.
  • National Amusements Theaters Bookworm Wednesdays – Your child can earn a FREE movie ticket from National Amusements Theaters when they read a book and complete a book report. {For our readers that live in OH, NJ, or NY}
  • PBS Kids Summer Reading Challenge – This challenge kicks off on June 6th and includes a FREE six week reading program and the chance for your kids to win daily prizes for their participation.
  • Pizza Hut’s Summer Break with Book-It: June 15- August 15
    Kids across the country are invited to take part in the Summer Break Reading Challenge Sweepstakes. From June 15-August 15, kids who were in grades K-6 during the 2011-12 school year and who meet the challenge of reading five books, will be eligible for a chance to win a “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” summer fun prize package!
  • Pottery Barn Kids Summer Reading Challenge – From now through August 26th, read all the award-winning books on one of their recommended lists and qualify for fun prizes, including a FREE book. While supplies last. Limit 1 per customer. Promotion starts on 5/16/2013 and ends on 8/26/2013. Must redeem by 8/31/2013. Open only to children under 10 years of age on any day during the promotion period. Must present completed Award-Winning or Early Reader book list to receive a free book at participating Pottery Barn Kids stores. You can also visit your local PBK store every Tuesday at 11 am for a FREE story time (your child will receive a FREE gift on their fifth visit).
  • Scholastic Summer Challenge – Log in your reading minutes to the Scholastic site and your child will be able to participate in a World Record challenge as well as earn digital prizes!
  • Showcase Cinemas Bookworm Wednesdays – Your child can earn a FREE movie ticket from National Amusements Theaters when they read a book and complete a book report.
  • TD Bank Summer Reading Program – Read and keep track of 10 books this summer and your child will get $10 added to their Young Saver Account FREE! {For our readers that live on the East Coast}
