There are ways to garden on a budget to keep your costs down. One way to avoid some of the expenses of gardening is to recycle random unused objects and plant flowers in them! Create a DIY planter box!
You can plant all different types of plants in the objects. What kind of objects can you use as planters? The sky is the limit! You can use old boots, buckets, tea cups, a colander, a large ladle, a hollowed out tree stump, a large toy truck, an old bathtub, a drawer, or even create an old birdcage planter!
Today, we are going to tell you how to make a birdcage hanging planter. All you need is an old birdcage, a plant liner such as moss, potting soil, and plants!
If the birdcage is dirty, be sure to clean it off first. Just place the liner or moss in the bottom of the birdcage and add soil on top. Next, carefully plant your plants in the soil in the birdcage. Grow flowers, succulents, small plants, or whatever other plants you would like to plant!
