One of the most shocking uses for coconut oil is as flea control for your pets. I usually grab about a tablespoon and rub the oil into my dogs coat, near where you would typically apply prescription flea treatment. Within days my dog was flea free and without a presciption or chemicals! We also add it to my dog’s food every morning for digestive help and she loves it! Gobbles up every last bite.

If you have a sunburn, apply coconut oil instead of lotion. Overnight your burn will be greatly reduced and you will smell great, too!

I use coconut oil to remove my eye makeup and as a moisturizer. I read that it would even remove waterproof makeup, so I tested it out and sure enough, even stubborn waterproof makeup comes off easily with a cotton ball, wash cloth or toilet paper.

Also, if unfortunately you have cracked heels from being barefoot this summer, coconut oil will help you with that! Cover your feet with coconut oil and put on socks before you go to bed. Do this for a few nights and your feet will be restored.

Lastly, one of the most amazing uses for coconut oil I just witnessed last night. If you cut up hot peppers without gloves, you know sometimes it can burn your hands and boy, that doesn’t feel good! My fingers were burning last night after chopping peppers and I thought to try coconut oil to soothe the pain. Within seconds after applying the oil, the burn vanished!
