It’s fun to get the whole family involved in the decorating process around the home. I for one love doing crafts to celebrate the season. All that decorating can become a bit too pricey. To save some money and inspire you, I’ve wanted to share some ideas for frugal fall crafts that the whole family will surely love.
This construction paper pumpkin from AllKidsNetwork is super cute and ultra affordable. Make a few of these to set around your home. You will need orange construction paper, a toilet paper roll, scotch tape and scissors.
First, cut the toilet paper roll in half. Cut a strip of orange construction paper to wrap around the toilet paper roll and tape it in place. Next, cut the construction paper, vertically, into strips about an inch wide. You need between 8 to 10 strips. Work with one end of the toilet paper roll and stick a piece of tape on the end of one of the paper strips. Then, tape it inside an end of the roll.
Repeat this step three times. Once you have the 4 strips in place, add another 4 so they overlap. Next, you need to tape the end of each strip to the other end. Tape just the way you did on the other end. Once you have your orange strips of paper taped into place, cut a leaf out of green construction paper and tape it into the hole to complete your pumpkin.
