You have to try this delicious recipe for Maple Glazed Pumpkin Bread! It is pretty easy to make, and tastes like autumn in bread form! Give it a try; we think you and your family will LOVE it.

Maple Glazed Pumpkin Bread Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup of coconut oil or regular  vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of pumpkin puree
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons of pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/3 cup of buttermilk
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 3 tablespoons of melted butter
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon of maple extract
  • 1 or 2 tablespoons of heavy whipping cream

Maple Glazed Pumpkin Bread Directions:

Begin by preheating your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Next, spray a 9×5″ pan with nonstick cooking spray. In a bowl, mix together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, oil, and pumpkin puree. Then, mix in the eggs, pumpkin pie spice, salt, and baking soda. Mix the ingredients together until everything is blended. Next, add in the buttermilk and the flour. Pour your prepared batter into your pan and put it in the oven for 35 to 40 minutes depending how well cooked you want it to be. Before removing from the oven, you can check the amount of doneness by inserting a toothpick.  Next, prepare the glaze by combining the melted butter and powdered sugar. Add the vanilla and maple extracts and a tablespoon of heavy cream. Whisk everything thoroughly. You can add up to one tablespoon more of the heavy whipping cream to reach your desired consistency. Spread over the pumpkin bread once it has cooled down.
