Who doesn’t need a little more R & R (rest & relaxation)? I know many may not believe me when I share how stressed out I am…but being a stay at home mom of two young children, cleaning, cooking, organizing, planning and keeping my sanity does add up. So, when I was told that I would be given a FREE massage from Massage Envy in Kansas City…I knew I had to sign up for the offer!

My Experience
I have never had a massage before until my experience at Massage Envy…so I have to admit, I was a little nervous. I wasn’t even sure what the difference was between a Swedish and Deep Tissue massage (something that I see now is very self explanatory).
The Meet & Greet
The people at the Plaza location (one of the nine areas I could visit for my review) were very friendly – and answered all of my questions. From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted by smiles, a drink of water, and medical paperwork for the safety of myself and their employees.
The Treatment Room
After discussing my wants/needs for my massage, I was led to the “serenity room” where I waited for a few minutes and listened to relaxing music. I then met my masseuse, a young woman who was very nice, who walked me to my own personal room with a warming table and a blanket to cover myself with…I was told that I could de-dress to what I felt comfortable, and lay under the blankets (which were very warm and cozy) face up.
When I was ready, a short while later, the woman came back in and massaged my legs, arms, neck, hands, feet, and back. We even had a nice conversation our families and about me being a blogger for Frugal Fabulous Finds 😀
To Paradise and Back
I have to share with you….I really did feel very relaxed, and rejuvenated when I left. It was wonderful! Although I am not sure that I would be able to afford it on my own terms, at $49.00, plus a tip (which was recommend at $12 and up).
If you do have a little extra money, and time (about an hour or more)…then I would highly recommend taking the time for yourself to relax and be pampered. I know someday I would love to try one of their facials 🙂
Guinness World Record Promotion in KC
Later next week, look for a post all about an amazing promotion that the Kansas City Massage Envy locations will be hosting at the Royals Stadium on Saturday, September 17th. They are planning to break a Guinness World Record ~ “Most People Being Massaged” at the same time and place with over 500 participants! The current record is only 263 which was in Australia during 2009.
