Memorial Day Freebies For Vets & Active Duty Military on 2016!
We are quickly approaching Memorial Day weekend which is also viewed by many as the unofficial start of summer. While it is easy to get caught up in the beginning of summer fun, it is important to remember why we have this holiday celebration in the first place. Memorial Day is a holiday for us to remember all the veterans who gave their lives or the currently active members of the military who put their lives on the line to protect us. Many stores and companies offer deals or freebies to vets, active military members, and their families over Memorial Day weekend. Check out these freebies for vets and members of the military.
Free Meals:
- Shoney’s is serving FREE All-American Burgers to veterans and active members of the military on Memorial Day (Monday, May 30)
- Veterans and active members of the military can get a FREE lunch or dinner entree at McCormick & Schmick’s. Proof of military service is required.
- At participating Hooters restaurants, veterans and active members of the military can get a FREE meal with their beverage purchase. Bring proof of your military service.
- Firebirds Wood Fired Grill is offering a FREE lunch or FREE dinner to vets and active members of the military on Memorial Day. You must show proof of your military service to get your FREE meal.
Free Admission:
- Kings Dominion: King’s Island, and Knott’s Berry Farm are offering FREE admission to veterans and active duty military members over Memorial Day weekend. You can also get discounted tickets for your family members.
- Colonial Williamsburg is offering FREE admission from May 27 through May 30 for military families.
- Various zoos throughout the country are offering FREE admission to vets and members of the military over Memorial Day weekend. Check your local zoo to find out if they are offering free admission.
