You could have a picnic, host a backyard cookout, go see a fireworks display, and so much more. One thing most people include in their 4th of July celebration is delicious food. Lots and lots of scrumptious summer food. Today, we have an extremely simple, delicious, and patriotic recipe for you! Give these Patriotic Strawberry Cheesecake Bites a try!

Patriotic Strawberry Cheesecake Bites Ingredients:

  • 10 large ripe strawberries
  • approximately 40 blueberries
  • 4 ounces of cream cheese (let it sit out for a while so that it is soft)
  • 1/4 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon of almond extract (depending on your taste preferences)

Patriotic Strawberry Cheesecake Bites Directions:

Once your cream cheese has softened considerably at room temperature, mix it together with the powdered sugar and almond extract. Once it has become well mixed and smooth, allow it to chill in the refrigerator for approximately 10 to 15 minutes. While the mixture is chilling, wash the strawberries and dry them thoroughly but gently. Then, slice the strawberries in half lengthwise. Sit the strawberries out flat on a level surface. If the strawberries will not sit flat, you can slice a small sliver off the bottom of the berries. Next, scoop your cream cheese mixture into a piping bag or a ziploc baggie. If you use a ziploc baggie, attach use scissors to cut a small tip into your bag. Pipe a dollop of the cream cheese mixture onto each strawberry. Place 3 strawberries on each dollop of cream cheese mixture. Then, dig in and enjoy these delectable little treats or store them in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve them. If you want to them taste even more like cheesecake, you can crush up some graham crackers and sprinkle it over the top of the cream cheese dollop.
