When you think of cherries, what comes to mind? Perhaps pie? Cobbler? Or maybe, a cherry slush or topping on that ice cream sundae? When Payson Fruit Growers contacted me about trying out some of their products, I knew that my family and I would love them!
Who are Payson Fruit Growers?
Founded in 1963, Payson Fruit Growers was established as a Farmer owned business designed with the intent of processing cherries that were grown on local farms in the Payson Utah area. At the time, the cherries grown in the area were pitted and prepared to be used in pie filling.
When our first Dried Tart Cherries were produced in 1987, it became apparent that the cherries grown in Utah Valley had not only a rich red color but the natural sugar content was found to be exceptional for drying.
Since that time we have expanded our product line to include Organic Dried Tart Cherries, Un-sweetened Dried Tart Cherries, Chocolate Covered Dried Tart Cherries, and Yogurt Covered Dried Tart Cherries. For people who enjoy the taste of tart cherries in smoothies and ice-cream, we also offer Tart Cherry Juice Concentrate.
Excellence in the quality of our Dried Tart Cherries is the first and primary goal of Payson Fruit Growers. Consistency in the finished product is guaranteed. We monitor moisture levels, color, pit count, size and shape of the Dried Tart Cherries we produce. We want all of our customers to have a great experience as they use and consume our Dried Tart Cherries.
Tart Cherry Juice Concentrate
As the cherries are dried, we carefully collect and separate the best juice out from the cherries. This juice, once processed and concentrated is ready for you! People from all over have grown to love our cherry concentrate. Most often cherry concentrate is diluted with water or apple juice before use. It makes an excellent addition to smoothies or yogurt, and it’s great as a topping on ice cream. Cherries are naturally a healthy fruit. In fact cherry juice is a favorite drink of many health and sport enthusiasts after their exercise routines. Concentrating cherry juice concentrates the health benefits for you.
