As much as they want to take control and feed themselves, very young children have difficulty using spoons and forks because the bones and muscles in their hands and wrists are still developing. Which means they aren’t able to easily rotate and manipulate conventional utensils. The Learn ‘N’ Turn can help change that.

About the Learn ‘N’ Turn Utensil
This innovative product was created in 2007 by a stay at home father of two children, named Mike Cannipinni. The Learn ‘N’ Turn Utensil is sold for $9.95 and comes with 1 spoon and 1 fork attachment. The utensil is available in 4 colors: red, teal, purple and green (as shown below). Extra spoon and fork attachments may be purchased separately.

An Innovative Design that Grows with your Baby
The Learn ‘N’ Turn utensil’s patent pending design allows you to adjust the angle of the spoon to help babies and toddlers feed themselves easily.
The spoon or fork attachment can rotate to various positions, creating the proper angle so food can be easily placed into his or her mouth . As your child’s wrists and hands develop, and their dexterity improves, you can adjust the angle of the spoon or fork accordingly.
Eventually, your child will be eating with the “Learn’N’Turn” in the straight position, just like a conventional spoon (or fork).

The most versatile and economical toddler utensil you can buy
Because both the spoon and fork attachments come with the “Learn’N’Turn”, it’s like getting two utensils in one. And because the attachments can rotate in either direction, it is perfect for left or right-handed children. With the ability of the “Learn and Turn Utensil” to convert into a conventional spoon or fork, it eliminates the need to repurchase new utensils as your child grows and develops.

The Learn ‘N’ Turn is a proud recipient of the Parent Tested Parent Approved award: an organization that provides an objective appraisal of new products designed to enrich family living.
My Thoughts
My daughters absolutely love to try out new products (just as much as I do), and they really enjoyed the Learn ‘N’ Turn!! First up, was my youngest daughter who is 17 months old. She tried out the spoon attachment with her applesauce, and had no trouble getting it to work for her. We are still practicing how to use utensils, and this will definitely be at every meal from now on. There was less mess, and more control when it came to her feeding herself. She was so happy (as you can see below).

Next up, was my oldest daughter who will 3 years old next month. She tried out the fork attachment. At first she liked using the fork at an angle, but since she is already a pro at using her utensils, she ended up straightening out the fork and showed mommy how much of a big girl she is.

As you can tell, my girls both really liked using their Learn ‘N’ Turn Utensil! I only wish they were sold in bigger sets (maybe that will be coming in the future). I love that you can switch from using a spoon and then a fork…they need to have these for adults! 🙂 I would highly recommend this product for every family ~ these products are durable, flexible, and can be used by any age, and any hand (left handed and right handed).
