The Product ~ “Princess and The Pee” eBook and Panties

“The Princess & The Pee” eBook (which is available for FREE on their website) tells the story of a young princess named Tallie who can’t resist using her daddy’s name to get her way. She knows her actions are wrong, but no one dares defy her until one day The Pee shows up unannounced, embarrassing her at the Queen’s birthday ball. The Pee does not care who her daddy is, and he tells Tallie as much. Frustrated, she flees from the room. And as the town discusses her dilemma, Tallie is forced to face two aspects of toddlerhood – potty training and treating others with kindness and respect.
A digital version that properly displays the 2-page spread should be available early 2012. I was told that there will be a hidden wand located on every 2-page spread. And their goal is for this new version to make a magic sound and display stars when the wand is found and touched. This version will have a regular app fee to download but should be lots of fun. 😀
A fun alternative to traditional potty training how-to books.

The company also sent me one pair of panties for my daughter to wear. It had a picture the duck that QuackBack uses for their logo on all their products.
My Thoughts
The eBook is very cute, although at times it made me wonder how old the little princess was. I started to potty train my daughter when she was around 17 months old (very early, I know), and she was done within a month or two. In the book, the princess attends school, goes to dance class, and even attends a royal ball…which seems like things an older preschooler would be doing.
The book, which tells us the story of a spoiled princess who always got her way (because no one would stand up to her and because her father is the King), found out the hard way to control her urges to go potty. I wasn’t really in love with the book or the ending…which I won’t spoil for you, but I think it should have been more elaborated. Learning how to go potty should take time, practice and above all hard work…you don’t just wake up, be a good friend, and automatically know how to go potty like a big girl.

Overall, my daughter and I both enjoyed the eBook…which I would recommend to little girls ages 3 and up. Although, for parents like me who potty train under the age of 2, I would change the wording of the book a little bit. My daughter loved the underwear as well. But we both noticed the illustrations from the book, and the one on the underwear were NOT the same. This wasn’t a big deal, but it is noticeable.
