About STLOcarina
St. Louis Ocarina was established in 2005 to help revive interest in the art of ocarina playing.
Our ocarinas have appeared with major symphony orchestras under the direction of such notable conductors as Pierre Boulez and Michael Tilson Thomas. Our ocarinas have been used in performances with the New World Symphony, the Atlanta Symphony, Chicago Symphony and most recently, the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra in their holiday concerts.
Not only do we strive to provide the highest quality instruments, we are also committed to helping each of you in your path to mastering the ocarina. Whether you are a seasoned professional or are picking up an ocarina for the first time, it is our goal to provide you with all you need to continue improving.

The Product ~ Teacarina

We are proud to introduce our newest innovation, the Teacarina! This is a teacup that doubles as an ocarina! Use this diverse product to enjoy your favorite cup of tea or coffee and then play your favorite song after you are finished! Our parents always taught us not to play with our food, but times have changed! This unique item allows you to both enjoy your food and play with it!

The Teacarina is about 3.5 inches in diameter. It can play 8 diatonic notes. Included in your box, it comes with a fingering chart (instruction booklet) for the Teacarina. On sale for $18 (regularly $22) making it a truly affordable gift. Music is produced by blowing through an air chamber, changing pitch by fingering four holes of various sizes on the side on the cup. Available in 6 different colors.
Teacarina is dishwasher safe.

This is such an amazing product! You can use it for your favorite cup of hot tea, and when you are finished drinking, you can entertain your friends with the same “tea cup”. Here is the one that I received:

After some practice, I was able to play “Row Your Boat” and “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” (sorry no videos!), which I may have to try at our next play date with friends 😀 My girls absolutely love to hear me play it, and I know that our friends with older children would love to have one!! The sound it creates, is similar to a small flute…and is very peaceful. I would love to try some of the children’s products someday (which are priced at about $10 or less).
The product itself is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, and can travel with you just about anywhere. The company says that this product is dish washer safe, but I haven’t been brave enough to try that out yet.
I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is a tea lover, or just loves to entertain. To learn more the STL Ocarina you can visit their website, like them on Facebook, and/or follow them on Twitter.
