For as long as I can remember, all the way back to my middle school years, I have always had problems with acne. Part of it due to my hormones, and the other because of genetics. It doesn’t help that my father had multiple breakouts throughout his teen years as well. As an adult, I feel that my “control” over breakouts has gotten better over the years, which is why I am always willing to try out new products to make my skin as beautiful as it can possibly be. Thanks to a blogger challenge from Skintactix, I recently got to try out an Acne Kit created for my skin type and put their products to the test.
About Skintactix
The Skintactix label and website were introduced in June of 2001, giving the public easy access to highly effective treatment of acne and related conditions. Information and education have been an emphasis within our corporation since 1997 and we hope this website is a valuable and complete resource.
Most people who visit the Skintactix website have been to one or more skin care professionals and have tried multiple forms of treatment without success, yet many of these professionals continue to prescribe or recommend treatments that are only marginally successful. Through education and the sharing of information we hope to make these professionals aware of more effective options.
The Product

I received the “Excessivly Oily Skin” kit which included 3 small bottles, each one labeled with a number. The first bottle was the Anti-bacterial Cleanser, which is applied to damp skin. It lathered nicely and it really cleaned my face well. I didn’t need to use a lot which was nice.
The second bottle was the Glycolic Exfoliator and is meant to be applied very thinly all over the face. It looks a lot like the first gel, but it is thicker and has a different consistency when placed on your face. I love this part because it leaves my face feeling tight and free of any dirt.
Finally, the third bottle is the Green Tea Poultice. This is applied very thinly and again, I only used a small amount because it is goes a long way. The Green Tea Poultice made my skin tingle, it felt like my breakouts were disappearing right then.
I really enjoyed using all three products, and did so for about a two week period. Then one night, my husband said that he noticed my skin was becoming bright red after each use. I normally do not have sensitive skin…but for whatever reason, either the ingredients used in the products or my “scrubbing”, my skin did not care for the products at all.
For anyone who has struggled with acne, I would recommend giving these products a try. They do offer a 30-day money back guarantee, and stand by their products 100%. Their customer service is wonderful and will assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.
