What is Vajazzling?
The term “vajazzling” was coined by the beautiful actress, Jennifer Love Hewitt. It can also be spelled “vagazzling”. Here’s the now infamous interview on Lopez Tonight with George Lopez where she first described crystalling her “precious lady”:

Essentially, you are adding “bling” to your private area. The company uses only Swarovski crystals, and are applied to your personal region after you have shaved or waxed. See below for a few examples of what the Vajazzling products look like. 

How do you apply Vajazzling?
For those of you ladies who get a full Brazilian wax, you may be able to get this done by a professional. Or you can purchase the product for yourself and follow the following steps:

1. Prepare the pubic area by first waxing or shaving. Waxing is recommended as it lasts longer.

2. Make sure the skin is clean and dry. Don’t apply if you have any skin irritation from a recent wax or shave. If your skin is irritated, wait until it clears up.

3. Peel the clear film carefully from the white backing. The top of the Swarovski crystals should stick to the clear film. The bottom of the crystals, with the adhesive, should be exposed.

4. If any crystals stick to the white bottom, they can later be applied with tweezers.

5. Line up the pattern as you desire.

6. Press firmly and hold for a few seconds.

7. Your vajazzling pattern should last a few days. Wearing tight fitting clothes will rub the stones off. Loose fitting pants are recommended.

My Thoughts
I have never received a Brazilian wax, and I am not sure I ever will (it sounds sooo painful!!), but I am always up for trying new products…and this one, was no different! The Vajazzling product is actually not a new concept, and has been around for a couple years now (since 2010). And for those of you, who want the exact definition…

Vajazzling is the act of applying glitter and jewels to a woman’s nether regions for aesthetic purposes.

The product itself is very aesthetically pleasing, and stays in place for several days/weeks if carefully cared for. You almost want to treat it like a tattoo, and wear loose clothing to keep it there.

I would recommend this product to women who are wanting to give their significant other a little “surprise” this Valentines Day, or Anniversary. Its fun, easy to do, and your spouse will really like “the view”! 😀
