Alright, Rite Aid shoppers…there could be some BIG changes to Rite Aid’s Wellness Rewards Program and how we use +Up Reward dollars coming our way very soon. There are some good and some not so good changes – but overall I think they could improve some of the negative results we’ve seen since the airing of the Extreme Couponing Show on TLC (Don’t get me started again about how much I loathe that show – I think I said enough in parts 1, 2 & 3 HERE!)
Right now these changes are being implemented in a test market in Utah (scheduled to start Monday 2/6 but most likely to run with the start of the new sale week tomorrow 2/5 .
Here are the major changes: (currently in the test market – possibly coming soon nationwide)
Basicly, the only change I see that will effect me is the delay on using the +Up dollars in a transaction. Why the changes? Again…yet another result of “Extreme Couponers” taking advantage, buying excessively and clearing store shelves.
Overall, I think that these changes are positive and will help to ensure that your store is stocked well enough for you to coupon weekly. If/when these changes are implemented, you won’t have to worry about losing +Up’s or letting them expire because you forgot them!
So, what do you think about the changes possbily coming to your local Rite Aid ? Leave me a comment below and let me know!
