I have to be honest; I love a fancy cup of Joe or a cappuccino at a nice coffee shop. Who doesn’t? I do know they cost quite a bit of money at the end of the week or month if you frequent your local coffee shop. Wouldn’t you love to know how to save money while still enjoying coffee or tea?
LifeHacker.com reported on this exact topic from The Simple Dollar blog. I found some interesting points to help you become a little more frugal.
The Simple Dollar blog said, “Depending on what exactly you order at your typical coffee chain, a 16 ounce coffee will set you back somewhere between $2 and $5. The variation here is pretty impressive, but even if you’re comparing the low end of a purchased coffee with the high end of a homemade cup, you’re still talking about a savings of a dollar per 16 ounce cup. It’s quite likely you’re saving even more than that.” The point here is that you can purchase high end coffee to drink at home. You still save a bundle by not stopping at the local coffee joint.
Right now, you can grab a $1 off coupon for Eight O’Clock Coffee on their website to get you started on your savings. In my opinion, it’s pretty good coffee. Publix also runs BOGO deals pretty frequently if you keep up with the store circulars.
Also, head over to the Maxwell House Facebook page and “like” them. Maxwell House posts Facebook coupons from time to time. That’s another great way to save.
Sign up for the Dunkin Donuts email newsletter and get a free cup of Joe in the store. At participating stores from 3 to 6 p.m. everyday, you can buy a 99 cent latte at Dunkin!
Boca Java, an online coffee store, has lots of savings right now to enjoy. Boca Java is your online source for the world’s freshest coffees and teas from around the world. They also sell coffee brewing accessories. The company prides itself on handcrafted orders. They only roast your coffee once you place your order. Now, that is cool!
