Save your wrapping paper and gift bags this holiday season and begin stockpiling bows and wrapping paper to save down the road…it doesn’t get much more frugal than that! I’ve always saved gift bags, ribbons and wrapping paper and throughout the year you’ll always have a go-to stash for a gift.
But I do have a couple other tips on how to save on wrapping paper and boxes! Have you ever thought of using old magazines or newspapers to wrap gifts, that of course is an oldie but goodie. Always, if there is an option, ask for a gift box and tissue paper!
I saw a super cute idea on Pinterest recently that suggested using Mason jars to “wrap” small gifts like soaps or other bath items. Not only do you possibly already have these in your home, but they are cheap too. A dozen Mason jars are only about $10. Tie a colorful ribbon around the jar and the presentation looks pretty nice, too.
There are lots of places online to print your own gift tags, as well like MarthaStewart.com or TwoPeasandTheirPod.com.
