St Patrick’s Day 2016 Fun Things To See & Do

St Patrick's Day

Tomorrow is St Patricks Day! Although this holiday may not be as popular as some others, many people enjoy celebrating- both those who have Irish ancestry and those who are ‘Irish for the day.’ Do you have any special plans? If not, it’s not too late to make fun plans to celebrate the day. There are actually quite a few events going on to celebrate the holiday. Today, we recommend attending a St Patrick’s Day parade in your local area, an Irish pub you can visit, and much more! So pick out your greenest outfit and get ready to celebrate St Patricks Day!

If you are going to be in New York City tomorrow, don’t miss out on the St Patricks Day parade! The parade kicks off at 11:00 AM on 44th Street. The parade continues on past St Patricks Cathedral and ends at the American Irish Historical Society at East 80th Street sometime between 4:30 and 5:00 PM.

Boston also has a large St Patricks Day parade. However, their parade does not take place until Sunday, March 20 at 1:00 PM. You can learn more about this parade here.

If you are going to be in Chicago today, check out the Chicago River. It should be neon green for approximately 5 hours!

Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper St Patricks Day if you didn’t hit up an Irish pub! There are countless Irish pubs NYC.

If you will be in NYC today, check out these Irish pubs:

Donovan’s Pub

McSorley’s Old Ale House

Molly’s Shebeen Pub and Restaurant

In San Francisco, check out:

The Chieftain

Durty Nelly’s

The Irish Bank

Johnny Foley’s

In Boston, check out:

The Black Rose

In Dallas, TX check out

The Dubliner

In Baltimore, MD check out:

Patrick’s of Pratt Street

There are Irish restaurants and pubs in most cities, so if you wander down a city street and hear people singing, cheering, or just being jolly tomorrow, you probably have stumbled across a good ole Irish pub!
