Do you remember when you first found out you were pregnant, or when your spouse shared with you that a little bundle of joy would be joining your family is less than 9 months? Do you remember the first kick, hiccup, or time that you could feel your baby in your tummy?
As a blogger, and a lover of writing, I always tried my best to keep track of all those little moments during both my pregnancies. Whether I was writing on my blog for a few minutes or sharing my hopes and dreams for what I wanted for my daughters in a small bedside journal. For those of you that are expecting – whether its your first or your fifth, there is something so magical about having a baby. I never wanted to forget the first time we heard the heart beat, or when we found out we were having a sweet baby girl with the big gender revealing ultrasound at 20 weeks.
If you are like me, then you may be wondering how do you organize it all? Where can you put pictures, videos, Facebook comments from either yourself or family members – remember all those “Congrats!” you got? Well, I recently found an amazing FREE website called The Day Baby Was Born.
The Day Baby Was Born is a free service provided by Tommee Tippee that automatically gathers information about the day your child was born, based on your selections, to create a storybook that you can share with family and friends. Welcoming a child into the world is an amazing journey, and so much happens so quickly it can be hard to remember every detail. This site is a simple way to capture and cherish your memories. Start as soon as you know you’re pregnant and catch every detail of the journey.
How it works
The Day Baby Was Born automatically captures information about the day your child was born from news sites and data feeds you select, plus your Facebook Wall comments, to capture everything leading up to your baby’s first day. The site does most of the work for busy new moms and, with just a little more input, can be further personalized with memories from pregnancy and delivery through guided storytelling and photos.
Save your memories
The Day Baby Was Born automatically collects:
- News, facts and information from the day your baby was born.
- Facebook Wall comments about baby posted by family and friends.
You can also easily add memories through our guided storytelling process:
- Your pregnancy journal from week to week.
- Your personal story and letter to baby.
Share your joy
When you’re ready to share your news, The Day Baby Was Born creates:
- Personalized pregnancy and birth announcements for Facebook.
- A storybook you can share online or save for years of storytelling.
You are essentially your baby’s storyteller, from the time they are conceived to the day they are brought into this world. Don’t take the chance at forgetting all of those incredible memories – when you don’t have to. Check out The Day Baby Was Born today! Share it with your family, friends and anyone that you know who is expecting 😀
As many of you know I am a mommy of two beautiful daughters, ages 2.5 and 1 year old. I wanted to share a small snipet of their birth stories with you…
Destin Paisley
Destin was born 4 days before her actual due date on February 13, 2009. I was able to have her naturally and went into labor on my own. I only had to push for about fifteen minutes before she came into this world. She was 20.5 inches long and weighed 8 lb 3 oz.
Arwen Kinsley
Arwen was born July 29, 2010 ~ 2 weeks early. I was induced (against my wishes) for reasons by my Dr, and had her at my second choice for hospitals. I had to push about twenty-five minutes with her. She was very healthy and weighed less than her big sister. She was 20 inches long, and weighed 7 lb 6 oz.
Its so hard to believe that it has been over a year, since our family of three became four. And its been over two years, since our family of two, became three. And if you include our dogs…we are now a family six 😀
I urge you to take the time to journal, whether its online with this amazing website, or in your own writing in a journal. You will never regret writing down everything – from the first time you got a positive test result, the morning sickness, all the way to when you brought baby home from the hospital. Nine months goes by so fast, and each story is different for every baby. I know that for our future baby #3, I will definitely take advantage of this website!
The website is very easy to use, and they give you so many options to choose from when sharing your story – from news coverage, sharing on Facebook, and posting pictures along your entire journey to becoming parents. If you would like to learn more about The Day Baby Was Born you can visit their website, like them on Facebook or follow them on Twitter.
