PERKSTREET PERKS UPDATE: NEW CASH OPTION + UNLIMITED CASH BACK FOR DEBIT CARDS

I’ve been redeeming my perks for more FREE Amazon Gift Cards to spend on our household needs every month, but with the new Perks update, you can now also redeem your CASH BACK for Gift Cards started at $5 increments to use anywhere and everywhere – over 35,000 locations nationwide including Amazon.com®, Applebee’s®, Best Buy®, Walmart, Chili’s®, Dunkin’ Donuts®, GAP iTunes® / Apple®, Macy’s, Marshalls®, Olive Garden®, Sears®, Starbucks®, Target®, T.G.I. Friday’s®, T.J. Maxx® and many more !

This Perkstreet Perks Update goes into effect on April 4th, 2012 (unless otherwise noted).

More Perks for More People

Unlimited 1% cash back for non-PIN purchases
2% for online purchases at some of your favorite retailers
2% for in-store purchases at those retailers when your balance is above $5,000
2% cash back when you and a friend both pay with your PerkStreet cards together at the same restaurant, bar, or coffee shop
5% PowerPerks at places you choose every month

More Ways to Redeem Your Perks

Perkstret is nearly doubling the number of gift cards offered to redeem your perks. You’ll now be able to redeem your perks at over 35,000 locations, including new options like Walmart, Applebee’s®, Sears®, Macy’s, T.J. Maxx® and more. And instead of having separate redemption options for the cash back, coffee, and music rewards programs, all redemption options will be available to you.

Due to an increase in cost, they will no longer offer MasterCard® Gift Cards as a redemption option. They’ll continue to support all MasterCard redemptions until they run out of the current supply, which may occur before April 4th.

While the Mastercard option won’t be available any longer – I’m excited about the new redemption options! Another of these new options is the ability to redeem perks for cash directly into your account. For every $22 in perks you redeem, we’ll deposit a $20 account credit into your account.

Overdraft & Non-Sufficient Funds
Overdraft and non-sufficient fund fees will be changed to $32. They do provide ways to opt-out of overdraft protection entirely.

New Tools, New Products
Finding ways for you to earn more with Perkstreet isn’t just about perks. In January, they launched their Free StreetSense online courses, designed to help customers learn ways to improve their finances. They are preparing a New mobile app and savings account.

Additionally, Perkstreet knows that staying on top of finances is a top priority for thier community of users. Tools like Mint and Quicken are important, but like a rear view mirror, they can only tell you where your money went. So they’ve developed an integrated digital envelope budgeting system to help you proactively manage your spending. More information on that is coming soon!
